True Dedication

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." - Galations 6:9

Lately, the concept of true dedication to Christ has really been on my mind and I wanted to share those thoughts with you.

As Christians, we may pray or sing songs to the Lord, telling Him how much we are dedicated to Him. But what is the true test of our dedication to Him? Continuing to serve Him in the midst of opposition or failed expectations.

So many times when we are serving God in any sort of ministry, we get discouraged because we are facing opposition or disappointment. Things may not always turn out the way we thought they would, but the evidence of true dedication to God is to keep going, to keep serving Him because we know that's what He wants us to do. It's a matter of having faith in God that He knows what He's doing and that He has a perfect plan for everything. Our faithfulness to God, will not go unnoticed or unrewarded by the Lord. He will bless us for it either here on earth or in heaven.

Even though it may seem like our service to God is going on without result, we need to hold on to the fact that God will use our efforts for Him in one way or the other. Sometimes He uses what we do for Him in ways that we don't even know about or may know about till we get to heaven. God's ways are higher and better than our ways ( Isaiah 55:8-9 ). When we give His Word out, it will accomplish what He wants to do with it ( Isaiah 55:11 ). Let's be faithful to God no matter what.
