Here's a poem written by Fanny Crosby the famous blind Hymn writer. She wrote this when she was eight or nine years old and it tells of her attitude of contentment and positive thinking in spite of her blindness. This puts all of us to shame including myself.
Blind but Happy
Oh what a happy soul I am,
Although I cannot see,
I am resolved that in this world
Contented I will be.
How many blessings I enjoy
That other people don't!
To weep and sigh because I'm blind,
I cannot nor I won't.
Let's ask the Lord to implement this attitude into our lives.
